Anti-Slip Boards

We also offer anti-slip boards as an upgrade.

The anti-slip deck boards are grooved timber board with two of the grooves filled with a aggregate resin mix. bonded to the grooves in the board. This factory applied process form form a very tough anti-slip surface.

These high quality anti-slip boards are thicker than standard boards and have been tested for slip resistance in laboratory conditions in accordance with guidelines recommended by the UK Slip Resistance Group.

The boards are tested to BS 7976-2:2002, to provide a ‘low potential for slip’ in wet conditions.

Fixing Kits

The fixing kit options is intended to enable you to quickly and easily fix the bridge beam ends down to concrete foundations using anchor bolts.

The contents of the kit vary’s according to the length and width of the bridge ordered. On smaller bridges the timber beam ends are drilled with counter sunk fixing holes so as the anchor bolts and be installed directly thought the timber beam ends in to the concrete.

On larger bridges galvanized angled brackets are used to provide a fixing at the bridge beam ends.

Also included in all kits is as damp proof membrane to be placed under the beam ends to facilitate a barrier between the timber and the concrete foundation. This will prevent any moisture being absorbed into the timber from the concrete, resulting in accelerated rotting of the timber.

Bridge Colours

Natural Brown

All of our wooden bridges are constructed from wood pressure treated to class 3 use (modern equivalent of tannlised).

Our garden bridges are available in two different shades of colour.
The natural colour is the default colour when ordering, it will initially have a green appearance that highlights the natural variations of the wood, this will weather to an attractive natural orange pine colour before finally fading to a driftwood grey after long term exposure to the sun.

The brown colour option is for the same pressure treated timber but with the additional of painting with an oil based brown coloured wood preserving timber stain. Brown coloured bridges will slowly over time lose their colour and weather to a light grey colour. The colour can quickly and easily be restored with an additional coat of wood stain applied by brush or fence sprayer, returning it to its original colour.

Lighting Upgrades

We also offer the option of having LED lights installed in our wooden bridges.

These lights can be either mains pow-ered through a transformer or solar powered through a solar panel. Whichever option you choose these will add a WOW factor to your bridge in the evening. We have three types of LED lighting for you to choose from please see the links below for more detail.
